Instagram has recently unveiled its new IGTV feature, which it says will help users create a more engaging Instagram video experience for their audiences. It also, although they won't admit it, openly challenges YouTube. Here is how to create an IGTV channel of your own that will catch the attention of followers.
Officially announced on June 20, IGTV lets you create your own channel for posting long-form video content of up to 60 minutes on the platform. The channel is automatically shared with your followers, and you can discover new channels to follow just by swiping on the screen.
Instagram said that IGTV was designed specifically for watching videos on mobile phones. Uploaded videos on IGTV are displayed in a full-screen vertical format. This is a significant change from how people are used to uploading and watching videos in the past, especially on YouTube.
IGTV has dedicated Android and IOS apps that you can download to create and manage your channel with, as well as watch videos from other creators. To create your IGTV channel using the app:

You can then view your channel from Instagram by tapping on the IGTV icon on your home screen to go to the feature.
Instagram lets you add videos to your channel either from the IGTV app or from the main app. To upload a video:
Once uploaded, the video will immediately become visible on your channel, and will also be shared with your followers.
Instagram’s IGTV feature has barely been out for a week, but it is already drawing attention from people on the platform. With Instagram recently reaching a billion users, there are definitely a lot of viewers waiting for your content.
