Instagrammers can now say goodbye to content from annoying users. With the “Mute Profiles” feature, Instagram users are only one click away from liberating their feeds from bad content. The best thing is that the users being muted won’t even know they’re being muted.
We all have those distant relatives or old high-school friends whose posts are unbearably dull. We can’t unfollow them because it would be rude, and there isn’t really anything we can do about it, right? Wrong! With the launch of the new “Mute Profiles” feature, Instagram allows users to hide posts from certain accounts without unfollowing them. This allows you to create a more personalized feed with content that matters to you.
Up until now, users were able to mute stories from other users and hide their own content for specific users. Now Instagram has made a leap forward and made it possible for users to eliminate unwanted posts from specific accounts, without having to unfollow them.
The “Mute Profiles” feature will be rolling out in the coming weeks. Here is what you need to know about the feature:
The most important part is that the muted accounts won’t be notified when they have been muted. This allows you to create a personalized feed totally carefree, and can be vital when you’re working hard to get more Instagram followers and wind up following accounts you don’t really enjoy.
The people over at Instagram are working non-stop in order to maintain their role as a growing platform. Instagram recently rolled out another interactive tool for Instagram Stories. By the looks of things, this is yet another hole-in-one by the Facebook-owned giant.

According to Instagram, the “Emoji Slider” polling option allows you to ask questions when you want to know how your friends feel about something. You can also choose an emoji for your question which adds more depth to the content and helps those who answer understand your tone properly.
Apparently, Instagram is working on a wide range of updates that are in a testing phase now. One of those features is a “Music Sticker” which Instagram is reportedly testing out.

This feature would enable users to add music clips to their Instagram Stories via music stickers. Other Instagram features that might be revealed soon are:
The updates keep coming and Instagram keeps growing. I’m sure the “Mute Profiles” feature will be gladly accepted on the platform as it is an update that users have been asking for. Be sure to stick with us as we initially broke the news on this feature possibly coming earlier in the month!
